Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sterling Archer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hang Kwon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Archer comes to the cage accompanied by Kenny Loggins - Danger Zone . Sterling Archer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hang Kwon!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Eddie Farnsworth and Steve Montenegro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kwon throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kwon looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

and Archer counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Kwon thows a body kick. Archer tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Archer throws a front kick that sends Kwon stumbling back into the cage.
Kwon misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Archer throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kwon tries to land a front kick but Archer steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Archer throws out a loose jab but Kwon uses good head movement to avoid it.

Kwon fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Archer checks it well.

and Archer counters by clinching up.

A short body shot lands from Archer as the two fighters clinch.

With the fighters up against the cage, Archer throws an elbow but misses.

It looks like Hang Kwon has been cut.

Archer manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Archer misses with a knee strike.
Archer lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Kwon backwards.

Kwon jumps guard but Archer turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Kwon is rocked!
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Kwon is still on wobbly legs! Can Archer finish him?
Archer has Kwon pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Kwon is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Archer - that's hurt Kwon badly! Oh, another knee lands and Kwon is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Kwon doesn't seem to be complaining.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Sterling Archer!
