Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kj Barakus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dory Raly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kj Barakus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dory Raly!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barakus shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Raly sprawls well. Raly wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Barakus gets slowly back to his feet.
Jab, jab by Raly - just one landing.
Raly lands a nice leg kick that just misses Barakus's sensitive parts.
Raly throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Barakus stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Raly throws the kick towards the body but Barakus avoids it.
Barakus looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Raly is fending him off so far but Barakus persists. Nope, Raly circles away and we're back to standing.
Raly lands a nice leg kick that just misses Barakus's sensitive parts.
A nice inside leg kick there by Raly. That's going to slow Barakus down.
Raly has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Barakus is landing a low percentage of strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Raly listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Raly throws a head kick that misses.
Barakus throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Barakus looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Raly is fending him off so far but Barakus persists. Nope, Raly circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kj Barakus. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Nice shot lands for Raly.
Barakus throws out a leg kick but Raly moves out of range and Barakus only half commits.
An inside leg kick lands from Raly.
Barakus on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Raly. Raly obviously looking to wear him down.
Raly bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Barakus's head.
Barakus shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Raly connects with a solid leg kick.

Raly gets caught napping as Barakus dives in and scores a takedown. Raly manages to retain guard.
Raly utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Barakus drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Barakus jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Barakus prevents Raly from getting back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Barakus throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Barakus postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Barakus working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Barakus tries to free his leg and advance position but Raly is retaining full guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Barakus tries for a takedown but Raly sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Raly feints and then cracks Barakus's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Barakus down.
Barakus doesn't manage to clinch there - Raly circles away.
Raly moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Raly feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Barakus's calf.
Dory Raly is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Barakus moves out of range of the body kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Raly looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Raly throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Dory Raly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Raly jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
A nice leg kick lands there from Raly.
Barakus takes one to the chin there.
Raly defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Barakus.
Raly keeps the fight on the outside.
Barakus stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Raly.
Barakus shoots for a takedown but Raly saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Raly delivers a nice body kick.
Raly connects with a jab.
Raly scores with a punch to the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Raly slaps away a takedown attempt from Barakus, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Raly stuffs the takedown attempt from Barakus. Barakus gets slowly back to his feet.
Nice uppercut lands for Raly. That snapped Barakus's head back.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Raly.
Raly throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Raly tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Barakus shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Raly counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Barakus gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dory Raly dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Nice uppercut there from Raly.
Barakus changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Raly tries to avoid it but Barakus manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Raly to the ground. Raly escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Raly fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Barakus.
Barakus takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Raly has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Raly lands a leg kick that knocks Barakus off balance momentarily.
Raly throws a front kick that sends Barakus stumbling back into the cage.
Raly tries a head kick but it misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Barakus misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Barakus.

Crunch! Raly slams his shin into Barakus's torso.

Raly scores with a kick to the body.
Barakus walks into a stiff left hand from Raly.
A head kick from Raly lands but Barakus takes it in his stride.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Raly, right into the meat.
Barakus is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Dory Raly seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Raly connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Raly pushes Barakus away with a front kick.
Barakus is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Raly connects with a nice looking jab.
Raly fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Barakus on the side of the head.

Barakus shoots in looking for a takedown. Raly tries to sprawl out of it but Barakus keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Raly manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Raly connects with a solid leg kick.
Nice uppercut there from Raly.
Barakus throws a solid leg kick but Raly takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Barakus.
Barakus closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Raly scoring well with a low kick there.
Raly fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Raly lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Barakus has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Raly.

Raly connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Raly - that will leave a mark!
Barakus is looking to clinch.
Barakus tries to clinch there but Raly circles away.
Raly tries to land a front kick but Barakus steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Raly swats away the attempt to clinch by Barakus.
Raly throws a nice inside leg kick.
Barakus is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Raly scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Barakus is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Barakus takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Barakus stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Raly.
Raly slaps away a takedown attempt from Barakus, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Raly connects with a body shot that sends Barakus's belly button to the back.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Raly.
That kick from Raly tenderised Barakus's leg. Barakus is trying to keep his angry face on.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Barakus shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Raly as he jumps to the side.
Raly lands a jab-cross combination.
Barakus tries to work over Raly's front leg with a kick but Raly checks it.
Barakus dives in for a single leg takedown but Raly sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dory Raly showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Barakus's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Barakus takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Barakus walks into a left hand.

Barakus has managed to clinch.
Raly throws an elbow that misses.

Barakus lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Barakus decides to stand and escape the position.
Kj Barakus is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A slapping body kick lands there for Raly.
Barakus darts in looking for a takedown but Raly gets double underhooks and turns Barakus into the cage.
Raly softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Barakus has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Raly avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Raly doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Raly scores with a shoulder strike.

Barakus managing to block the knees to the body from Raly.
Raly lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Barakus backwards.
Barakus drops down looking for an ankle pick but Raly pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kj Barakus. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Raly lands with a kick to the ribs.
Good leg kick by Raly there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Raly dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Barakus. That did some damage!
Barakus needs to keep his hands up - Raly had a free shot at his head there.

Barakus scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Barakus has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Barakus tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Barakus has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Barakus misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Barakus is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Raly is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Raly is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Barakus is controlling him well.

Barakus is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Raly knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Barakus working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Barakus is trying to ground and pound but Raly uses the momentary lack of control by Barakus to regain half guard.
Dory Raly is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Barakus looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Barakus is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Raly doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Barakus.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Raly tries to kick Barakus off but Barakus keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Dory Raly.
I've got Raly winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
