Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, James Jaffer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Graeme Norton!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Alexandre Firmino and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jaffer drops his hands momentarily and Norton takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Jaffer throws a nice looking combination but Norton bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A punch combination from Jaffer misses.
Jaffer throws an overhand right that lands on Norton's shoulder, as Norton tries to avoid the shot.

Jaffer closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jaffer lands a nice short elbow.
Norton is trying to maintain the position but Jaffer is very close to passing his half guard.
Jaffer lands with a punch from half guard.
Jaffer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jaffer content to control rather than advance.

Jaffer in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Norton tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Jaffer!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). James Jaffer!
During a confident post fight interview, James Jaffer thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
Graeme Norton spoke after the fight, saying 'Another fight best out of three. I went for power shots going for the knockout. Next time i will box his head off for three rounds just like in the first fight.'.
