Nogueira shoots in looking for a takedown but Rubey manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nogueira's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
We've been informed that Rubey has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Rubey in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Rubey! Nogueira is out on his feet! Rubey rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Nogueira is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Nogueira is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
