The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dantes forces Silva back against the cage and clinches.

Dantes had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Silva is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Dantes Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Silva's back instead.
Dantes is looking to control Silva but Silva is wriggling around and keeping busy.

Silva is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Dantes.

Dantes connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Silva to escape the position.

Silva wants to get back to full guard but Dantes has passed into side control.
Dantes is landing with some decent strikes but Silva is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Dantes is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Silva has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dantes looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Dantes moves to back control.

Dantes is looking for the choke from the back position but Silva is controlling his hands well.
Dantes doesn't have the hooks in and Silva manages to turn into his guard.
