The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Steve Erwin and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chuckle drives through with a takedown into guard.
Chuckle slips nicely into half guard.
Chuckle missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Chuckle is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Vega!
Vega manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Vega tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Chuckle is trying to control. Vega wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Chuckle blocks the strikes from Vega.
Vega flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Vega really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Still in half guard, Chuckle seems content to control.
Chuckle missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are battling for position here. Vega manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Chuckle postures up in Vega's guard and throws a big left but Vega blocks it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chuckle is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Vega looking to hit a scissor sweep but Chuckle is one step ahead there.
Vega throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Vega controls Chuckle momentarily but Chuckle frees himself.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Chuckle wants to control from the top but Vega keeps moving.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Chuckle moves into range and clinches up with Vega.
Vega wants a takedown but no success here.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Chuckle manages to pull guard.
Chuckle controls Vega momentarily but Vega frees himself.
Vega is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Vega working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Chuckle's head.
Chuckle pushes Vega off and scrambles back to his feet.

Vega tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Chuckle paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Vega tries to sprawl but Chuckle drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Chuckle tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Vega moves into full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Chuckle has Vega pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Chuckle pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Vega tumbling to the mat - Chuckle dives into Vega's guard.
Vega bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Chuckle's guard.
Chuckle is trying to control the position but Vega postures up.
Chuckle has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Chuckle throws his legs up looking for a submission but Vega uses it to pass to side control.

Chuckle wants to control but Vega postures up.
Chuckle tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Vega is persistently looking for the submission but Chuckle is defending it well.
Chuckle tries to escape but Vega has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Vega has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Chuckle defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Vega's arms.

Chuckle wants to control his opponent's hands but Vega gets his hands free.
Chuckle tries to escape but he's let his defenses down in doing so and Vega has slipped in the rear naked choke! Oh, that's tiiiiiiiiight! Chuckle is tapping! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
