Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Edison Pope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pope comes into the arena with Schoolboy Q - Man of the Year blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Edison Pope!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bobby Scott!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Steve Montenegro and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Scott moves into the clinch.
Scott lands a nice uppercut.
Scott lands with a right to the head.
Scott lands a body punch in the clinch.
A short body shot lands from Scott as the two fighters clinch.
Scott lands a left hand that snaps the head of Pope backwards.
Scott keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Pope's efforts to push away.
Pope wants to get back to striking at distance but Scott won't allow it.
Scott makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
A nice right hand lands inside from Scott.


It looks like Edison Pope has been cut.
Scott lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Pope swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Scott prevents Pope from breaking the clinch.
Scott lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A short right from Scott on the inside.
Pope is trying to break the clinch but Scott has him pressed against the cage.

Scott's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Pope tries to keep at a distance but Scott has taken the fight into the clinch.

Scott breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pope seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pope has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Pope misses with a wild body shot.
Scott scores with a hook to the body. Pope takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Scott has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Scott has Pope up against the cage in a clinch.
Pope wants to break free but Scott has control.
Pope wants to break the clinch but can't.
Scott scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Pope has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
A right hook to the body lands for Scott.
Pope is breathing heavily.
Scott lands with a light punch inside.
Scott lands a body shot.
Scott is working Pope over against the cage.
Scott scores with a nice hook to the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Still in the clinch, Scott scores with a nice short uppercut.
Scott lands a nice shot to the body.
A frustrated look appears on Pope's face as he tries to break the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Scott throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Popes head.
Scott lands a body punch.
Scott lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Scott lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Scott lands a body shot in the clinch.

Scott breaks from the clinch.

Scott closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Pope has had enough of the clinch but Scott keeps him there for the moment.
Scott lands with a short head shot on the inside.


Pope is rocked!
Scott misses with some punches.
Oh Pope is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Scott pushes Pope back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Scott scores with a nice hook to the head.
Scott scores with a nice hook to the head.
Scott creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Pope's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Pope drops to his knees and Scott pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bobby Scott!
Post fight, an emotional Bobby Scott said 'If a man don't drink, don't smoke or don't gamble; that ain't a man I can trust. So if I can't trust ya, there ain't nothing left to do except smash your face...and that's just what happened tonight.'.
