Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Honda Housey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank DeNino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frank DeNino is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeNino feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Housey's calf.
Housey tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

and DeNino counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
DeNino has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Housey is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Housey ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Housey no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Housey working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. DeNino doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. DeNino manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Housey escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. DeNino gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
