Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rodolfo Corvi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Horton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tim Horton has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Rodolfo Corvi's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horton lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Corvi circles away quickly and effectively.

Horton gets caught flat footed, as Corvi shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Horton is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Horton is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Corvi is controlling him.
Corvi looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Horton wants to sweep here but Corvi controlling him for the moment.
Horton trying to keep a closed guard but Corvi is proving a slippery customer.
Corvi really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill...

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Horton is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Corvi with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Corvi seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Horton for as long as he can get away with.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Horton is trying to control but Corvi passes into side control!

Corvi closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Corvi lands in his opponent's guard.

Horton moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Corvi is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Corvi definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Horton is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Corvi pulls his head out easily.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Corvi, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
