Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Paul Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Billy Tinkl!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Daniel Franklin and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tinkl closes the distance and clinches.

Tinkl has clasped his hands together around Brown's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Tinkl is looking to take a break and control but Brown is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Brown wants to control but Tinkl postures up.

Tinkl decides to stand back up. Tinkl steps back and let's Brown get back to his feet.
Brown dives in for a single leg takedown but Tinkl sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Brown wants a takedown but no success here.
Tinkl is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Tinkl goes for a takedown attempt but Brown pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brown fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Tinkl shoots for a takedown but Brown saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Brown throws a head kick that misses.
Tinkl avoids a kick to the body.
Brown tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tinkl swivels and escapes.
Brown goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Tinkl gets tackled into the cage by Brown. Brown maintains the clinch.

Tinkl is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Tinkl is trying to trip Brown. He has hold of a leg but Brown is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Tinkl persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Tinkl is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Brown will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Tinkl gets to his feet - Brown follows without any prompting.

Brown has closed the distance and engaged Tinkl in a clinch.

Tinkl works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tinkl works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Tinkl stalling.

Brown is defending against the submission attempts here by Tinkl.
Tinkl not doing much here.

Tinkl seems to be working for a kimura but Brown defends the submission attempt.

Tinkl is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Brown doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Tinkl.
Brown is looking for a sweep. Tinkl is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Brown is defending against the submission attempts here by Tinkl.
Brown is looking to control Tinkl's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Brown avoid being mounted?
Tinkl with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Tinkl thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Brown pushes Tinkl off looking to stand but Tinkl dives back in and keeps control.
Tinkl performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Tinkl tries for a takedown but Brown sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Brown fails with a takedown attempt.

Tinkl shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Brown's guard.
Tinkl controls from within his opponent's guard.
Tinkl is continuing to stall.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tinkl slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brown defending against the ground and pound.

Tinkl decides to stand back up. Tinkl steps back and let's Brown get back to his feet.
Brown thuds his shin into the meat of Tinkl's side.
Tinkl dodges the punch combination from Brown.

Tinkl fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Brown sprawls well initially but Tinkl persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Tinkl slows the pace down in half guard.

Tinkl is looking for a kimura but Brown is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Tinkl to get the leverage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tinkl with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Tinkl frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tinkl controlling the pace for now.
Tinkl misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Brown really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Tinkl sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Tinkl is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Brown is surviving well by controlling Tinkl's body position as best he can.

Tinkl is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Brown is forced to tap! Great finish!
