Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bear Grylls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam MacLeod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grylls comes to the cage accompanied by Man vs Wild Soundtrack Full Theme Song . MacLeod has chosen Braveheart Freedom Speech as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sam MacLeod!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Sandra Marshall and Peter Branson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacLeod's corner calls for a 1-2. MacLeod obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Grylls rushes MacLeod and presses him up against the cage.

Grylls is trying to trip MacLeod. He has hold of a leg but MacLeod is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Grylls persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Grylls won't allow MacLeod to sweep him here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
MacLeod wants to stand up but Grylls is controlling him.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now MacLeod is on top in guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Grylls has control of MacLeod's left arm, preventing MacLeod from doing any damage.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
MacLeod ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Grylls closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Grylls looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

MacLeod slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
MacLeod is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
MacLeod pulls Grylls in close to prevent any damage.
Grylls seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if MacLeod can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
MacLeod controls Grylls momentarily but Grylls frees himself.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Grylls is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Grylls gets a double leg takedown into MacLeod's guard.

MacLeod is trying to control the position but Grylls postures up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That was a close round but I would say that Bear Grylls will probably get the nod.

MacLeod lands a nice hook to Grylls's body. Grylls takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Grylls doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Grylls shoots in for a takedown but MacLeod shows good takedown defense.

MacLeod lands a jab to Grylls's midsection.
Grylls is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

MacLeod lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Grylls falls backwards - clearly groggy! MacLeod dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
