Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pat Key (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pat Key has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Pat Key!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Smith!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Colin Fotheringham and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Smith misses.
Smith throws a series of punches but Key moves out of range.
Smith misses with a wild combination.
Nice takedown defense from Smith. No joy for Key on that attempt.
Smith defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Key.
Key showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Smith.
Key fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Smith avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pat Key. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Smith gets caught napping as Key dives in and scores a takedown. Smith manages to retain guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Key is taking a breather. Smith says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Smith wants to get back to his feet.

Key is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Smith sees it coming and defends easily.
Key stops Smith from getting back to his feet.

Key looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Key shoots in looking for a takedown but Smith manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Key's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Smith rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Key moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Smith will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Key tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Smith defends well and Key ends up having to push Smith into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Key closes the distance and clinches up with Smith, looking for a takedown. Key pushes Smith against the cage but Smith circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Smith lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Key circles away quickly and effectively.

Jack Smith seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Smith fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Key looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Key is defended easily by Smith.
Smith misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Smith showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

It looks like Pat Key has been cut.
Key gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Smith gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Key is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:16 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Smith!
In his post fight interview, Jack Smith started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
