Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rolland Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Albert Fish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Albert Fish is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Albert Fish!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks blocks a jab.
Fish misses with a combination
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Fish gets tackled into the cage by Brooks. Brooks maintains the clinch.
Fish presses Brooks against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Brooks looking to stall.

Brooks breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Brooks gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Fish.
Fish lands with a cross.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fish jabs Brooks right on the nose. Brooks blinks but takes it well.

Fish rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Brooks counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Fish is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Fish feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Brookss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Fish cracks Brooks with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Fish throws a right hand that misses
and Brooks counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Fish is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Brooks steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Fish.

Fish clinches up with Brooks and pushes him back against the cage.
Fish has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Fish scores with a shot to the side of Brooks's head.
A head punch on the inside from Fish fails to land.

Fish has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Fish swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Fish has a couple of punches blocked by Brooks.
Brooks prevents Fish from breaking the clinch.

Fish throws a looping overhand right but Brooks ducks down to avoid it.
Fish is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Brooks had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

It looks like Albert Fish has been cut.

Brooks on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
A big right from Fish misses.
Fish looks to land a left hand but Brooks moved out of range nicely.
The fighters circling - Fish throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Fish rushes Brooks and presses him up against the cage.

Fish throws a punch but it's blocked by Brooks.

Brooks escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Albert Fish is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The fighters circle momentarily. Fish darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fish misses with a lunging right hand
and Brooks counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Fish throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Brooks stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Brooks throws a series of punches but Fish moves out of range.
Fish connects with a nice looking jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Fish takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Brooks on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Fish might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Brooks closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Fish did well to prevent Brooks getting side control.
Fish has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Beginners Circle MMA ($10/ week). Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Brooks is trying to control the action in half guard but Fish is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Fish is looking for a sweep. Brooks is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Brooks slips a straight right by Fish.
Fish dips to his left and cracks Brooks with an uppercut!
Brooks shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Fish throws a right hand that misses
and Brooks counters with a head kick. That will keep Fish thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Brooks on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Fish ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Brooks moves away.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Fish fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Brooks manages to avoid it.
Fish throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Fish swats away the attempt to clinch by Brooks.
Brooks dives in for a single leg takedown but Fish sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Brooks manages to break the clinch.
Brooks slips a jab from Fish.
Brooks moves away from the strike by Fish.

Fish moves into the clinch.

Brooks jumps guard.

Fish wanted to stand there but Brooks had control of the position.
Brooks is looking to stand up but Fish isn't so interested in that idea.
Brooks striking off his back but it's not causing Fish any problems.
Brooks not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Fish is taking a breather. Brooks says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Brooks breaks from the clinch.
Fish misses with a looping right.
Fish throws a big shot that misses.
Fish missing with a left hand there. Brooks was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Fish throws a poor cross that misses
and Brooks counters with a head kick. That will keep Fish thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Fish uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Brooks has time to react.
Fish scores with the left hand. Brooks knows he should have avoided that one.

The referee is keeping an eye on Brooks - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Fish lands a shoulder strike.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Fish tries to circle away but Brooks has him pinned against the cage.

Brooks breaks from the clinch.

Fish gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Fish misses with a punch to the body.
Brooks jumps guard but Fish turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Fish throws a punch but it's blocked by Brooks.
Fish has had enough of the clinch but Brooks keeps him there for the moment.

Brooks escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Fish moves into the clinch successfully.
Fish misses with a hook from the clinch.
Brooks on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Brooks has Fish pressed against the cage, preventing Fish from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Brooks's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Brooks moves away from the strike by Fish.
Fish looks to throw the jab but Brooks is out of range.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Fish ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Brooks moves away.

Rolland Brooks has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Fish lands with a hook. Brooks tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Albert Fish comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Fish winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
