Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nyrkilla Tapettava (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Butch Shorette (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shorette is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: No New Friends. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Tapettava lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Shorette has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Shorette and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Shorette enables Tapettava to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Shorette manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Tapettava seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Tapettava connects with a nice short shot to Shorette's temple.
Shorette felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
