PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Tompkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manny Quioxte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tompkins comes to the cage accompanied by Dying Fetus - One Shot, One Kill. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Manny Quioxte was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Steve Tompkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Manny Quioxte!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Ben Watson and Summer Carpenter.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tompkins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Quioxte tries to avoid it but Tompkins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Quioxte to the ground. Quioxte escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Quioxte has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Tompkins cracks Quioxte with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Quioxte moves away from the strike by Tompkins.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Quioxte fails in his attempt to clinch.
Quioxte will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Quioxte tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Quioxte goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Quioxte looks to land a right hand but Tompkins moved out of range.
Tompkins lands a nice shot to the body.
Tompkins scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Quioxte doesn't seem bothered though.
Quioxte looks winded!
Tompkins misses the shot to the body.
Tompkins comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Donk. Tompkins catches Quioxte right on the button with a cross.
Tompkins tries to land a leg kick but Quioxte saw it coming and moves away.
Tompkins finds Quioxte's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Quioxte flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Tompkins lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Quioxte will be OK.
