The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rubble is looking to land body kicks.
Rubble closes the distance but Zangief moves to the side
and Zangief counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Rubble gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Zangief counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Zangief escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Rubble fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Zangief prevents Rubble from breaking the clinch.
Rubble goes for a takedown in the clinch but Zangief prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Barney Rubble. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Zangief pulls guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zangief lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Zangief drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Zangief seems to have locked his on tight now - Rubble screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Zangief, as he picks up the win!
