And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clay Matthews!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chalas comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Matthews lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Chalas swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A telegraphed right hand from Matthews misses the target.
Matthews misses the shot to the body.
Matthews takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Matthews ducks right into an uppercut from Chalas.
Chalas really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Matthews walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Chalas checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Matthews takes a swing at Chalas's ribcage but misses.
Chalas takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Chalas is rocked!
Chalas throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Oh Chalas is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Chalas misses with a leg kick.
Chalas seems to have got his legs back now.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Nice defenses there by Matthews.
Matthews throws a lazy right hand but Chalas sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Matthews loads up on a big right hand but Chalas slips the punch.
Matthews ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Chalas moves away.
Matthews swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Matthews just misses with a punch to the body.
Chalas doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Matthews counters with a big uppercut that knocks Chalas off his feet! Matthews dives into side control looking to finish!
It looks like Luis Chalas has been cut.
Matthews looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
This has been an exciting period of action!
An elbow from Matthews crashes against the mat.
Matthews lands a strong strike to the head of Chalas. That's dazed him! Matthews looking to finish here. Chalas is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Matthews lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Clay Matthews!
