Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between james konicke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Rossi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rossi swats away the attempt to clinch by konicke.
konicke tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rossi swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Rossi misses with a takedown attempt - konicke sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

That was a close round but I would say that james konicke will probably get the nod.
That's time! konicke's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Rossi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

and Rossi decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in konicke's guard.

Rossi drops back looking for a leg! konicke is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and konicke manages to kick Rossi off! Rossi jumps back into konicke's guard.
konicke pulls Rossi in close to his closed guard and prevents Rossi from doing any damage or advancing position.
konicke can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rossi controls the pace.

konicke is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Rossi is landing with some decent strikes but konicke is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
konicke is in a horrible position here. Rossi smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Michael Rossi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

konicke is pushing Rossi's head away, looking to escape. Rossi manages to hold on to the position though.
Rossi has an Americana. konicke didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Rossi is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Rossi hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
