The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jorge Garcia and Reed Andrews.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lung gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Barksdale looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Lung!
Barksdale throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Lung because Barksdale loaded up on that one.

Barksdale prevents Lung from getting the reversal.
Barksdale tries to control but Lung wriggling away.
Lung is wriggling around trying to escape.

Barksdale jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Lung manages to avoid the submission attempt.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Lung keeps the fight on the outside.
Barksdale looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Barksdale decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Lung is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Barksdale's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Barksdale's back!
Lung has the hooks in. Barksdale is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Lung has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Barksdale has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Barksdale clinches up with Lung and pushes him back against the cage.

Barksdale breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Barksdale moves into the clinch.

Barksdale gets control of Lung's arms and successfully pulls guard. Barksdale will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Barksdale pulls Lung in close to his closed guard and prevents Lung from doing any damage or advancing position.

Barksdale escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lung gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Barksdale looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Lung has picked Barksdale up and slammed him! Barksdale can't keep hold of the triangle and Lung manages to pass to side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lung is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Barksdale tries to buck Lung off but Lung is having none of it.
Barksdale is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Barksdale makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Barksdale.

Lung is fighting to break Barksdale's control of his arms but Barksdale is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Barksdale passes Lung's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Lung seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Barksdale does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Barksdale darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Barksdale closes the distance and clinches up with Lung, looking for a takedown. Barksdale pushes Lung against the cage but Lung circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Lung closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Lung stands up and beckons Barksdale to his feet.

and Barksdale counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lung's guard now.

Barksdale drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lung looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lung looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lung!

Lung wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Barksdale, who protects the arm well.
