Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Carvalho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gabriel Carvalho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Robert Jenkins!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Leandro Rodrigues and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good work by Carvalho as he checks the leg kick.
Jenkins shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Carvalho is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Jenkins thows a huge punch but Carvalho dodges it nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jenkins seems to be working for a kimura but Carvalho defends the submission attempt.
Carvalho is trying to control but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carvalho controlling the position for now.
Jenkins throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Jenkins has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Jenkins is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Carvalho is just riding it out for now. Jenkins eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jenkins is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Carvalho tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Jenkins manages to move to mount!
Jenkins looking to control but Carvalho is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Carvalho tries to hold on but Jenkins pushes him away.
Carvalho tries to reverse the position but Jenkins maintains control.
Jenkins is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Carvalho can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Jenkins thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Jenkins can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Carvalho is looking to escape.
Carvalho is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Jenkins has control of Carvalho's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Carvalho regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Jenkins throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Carvalho because Jenkins loaded up on that one.
Poor strikes thrown by Jenkins there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Carvalho tries to hold on but Jenkins postures up.
Carvalho is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Jenkins has control of Carvalho's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Carvalho regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Jenkins is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Carvalho to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Carvalho shrugs it off.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Carvalho avoids a series of strikes thrown by Jenkins.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Jenkins waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Carvalho. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Carvalho to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
It looks like Gabriel Carvalho has been cut.
Jenkins postures up.
Jenkins trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Carvalho is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Carvalho is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jenkins is controlling him.
Jenkins trying to control the position from guard on top but Carvalho is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Jenkins is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Carvalho has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Jenkins has passed into side control.
Jenkins is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Carvalho has escaped the position, nice work there.

Jenkins tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Jenkins is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Carvalho is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Jenkins in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Jenkins tries to score with some ground and pound. Carvalho controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Carvalho wants to get back to his feet but Jenkins is dominant here and he's now got Carvalho's back!

Jenkins looking to break Carvalho's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Carvalho remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Jenkins will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Jenkins is looking for the choke from the back position but Carvalho is controlling his hands well.
