Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cristobal Bradshaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Viet Tran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Viet Tran has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Cristobal Bradshaw's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cristobal Bradshaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Viet Tran!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tran rushes Bradshaw and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Tran gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Tran seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Tran tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Tran content to control rather than advance.

Bradshaw has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Tran is on him like a limpet, forcing Bradshaw back against the cage.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Tran takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Tran has Bradshaw pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Tran pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Bradshaw tumbling to the mat - Tran dives into Bradshaw's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bradshaw is pulling down on Tran's head. It's preventing any offense from Tran, at least for the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bradshaw wants to sweep here but Tran controlling him for the moment.
Bradshaw is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Tran dives into side control.
Bradshaw tries to escape but Tran is in control.
Tran remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Bradshaw is pushing Tran's head away, looking to escape. Tran manages to hold on to the position though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bradshaw wants to control but Tran postures up.
Check out the look on Tran's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Bradshaw is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Bradshaw can't do much from the bottom here.
Bradshaw seems a little lost for a moment, as Tran dominates the positioning.
Tran is putting a hurting on Bradshaw here, landing some big shots from side control.


Bradshaw is rocked!

Tran is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bradshaw knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Oh Bradshaw is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tran lands a strong strike to the head of Bradshaw. That's dazed him! Tran looking to finish here. Bradshaw is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Tran lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Viet Tran!
