Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Niklas Brink (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pawel Aleksewicz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brink circles away from the clinch attempt
and Brink counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Aleksewicz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Aleksewicz blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Brink jumps guard.
Brink is pulling down on Aleksewicz's head. It's preventing any offense from Aleksewicz, at least for the moment.
Aleksewicz got a little sloppy there for a moment and Brink has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Aleksewicz has managed to get both his arms back between Brink's legs - danger averted.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brink is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Aleksewicz still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Aleksewicz has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
You can see the frustration on Brink's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Aleksewicz decides to stand up, so the ref orders Brink to his feet.
Aleksewicz tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Brink counters by moving into the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Aleksewicz is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Brink is keeping busy.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Brink holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Brink turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Brink tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Brink has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Brink goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Aleksewicz has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Brink but great work by Aleksewicz.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brink has his foot on Aleksewicz's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Aleksewicz works his way back into a safe position though.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

and Brink counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Brink.
Brink throws a strike but Aleksewicz rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Aleksewicz is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Nice takedown defense from Brink. No joy for Aleksewicz on that attempt.

and Brink counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Aleksewicz!
Brink advances nicely into full mount.
Brink throwing strikes but Aleksewicz bucks up and reverses the position. He's now in guard on top.
Brink has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Aleksewicz is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Brink.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Brink has a hand on Aleksewicz's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Aleksewicz takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Aleksewicz gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

so Brink counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Brink is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Aleksewicz can do to turn this around?

Brink wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Aleksewicz manages to pass to side control.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Niklas Brink.
Well Brink has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
