Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, David Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kim Peltonen!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams tries to clinch but Peltonen moves out of range.
Williams shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Peltonen pinned against the cage. Peltonen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Williams drives through with a takedown into guard.
Williams has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Peltonen is proving hard to escape from.
Williams has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Peltonen manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Peltonen moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Williams has worked his arm free - good work by Williams!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Williams doesn't manage to clinch there - Peltonen circles away.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Peltonen is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Williams can't fight it off and eventually Peltonen manages to take the fight to the floor. Williams looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Peltonen passes Williams's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Peltonen wants to work for an arm triangle but Williams is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Peltonen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Williams keeps working.

Williams regains full guard. Nicely done.
Peltonen wants to control from the top but Williams keeps moving.

Peltonen gets to his feet - Williams follows without any prompting.

Peltonen decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Peltonen is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Williams doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Peltonen.

Williams is refusing to be controlled, as Peltonen sits in half guard.

Peltonen wants to work for an arm triangle but Williams is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Williams looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Williams tries to roll over but Peltonen keeps him under control.
Williams is trying to maintain the position but Peltonen is very close to passing his half guard.
Peltonen wants to free his trapped foot but Williams is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Williams is looking to improve his position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Williams has closed the distance and engaged Peltonen in a clinch.
Peltonen stalling against the cage.
Peltonen goes for a takedown in the clinch but Williams prevents it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kim Peltonen dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Williams fakes the leg kick and cracks Peltonen in the body.
Peltonen on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Williams closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Williams wants to stand but Peltonen is controlling his arm.
Peltonen manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Peltonen is trying to work for a kimura but Williams is defending well.
Williams is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Peltonen is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Williams tries to reverse the position but Peltonen maintains control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Peltonen content just to control the position here.
Peltonen can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Williams is looking to escape.
Williams is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Williams has left one of his arms exposed and Peltonen doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Williams screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Kim Peltonen!
