PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gegard Mousasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kake Buck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mousasi comes into the arena with ZERO ONNNNNEEEEEEEEE blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buck shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mousasi pinned against the cage. Mousasi gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Mousasi lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Mousasi clinches up against the cage.

Buck breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kake Buck seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mousasi instigates a clinch.
Buck wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Mousasi has him pressed against the cage.
Mousasi has Buck pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Buck manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Buck pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Buck will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Buck looks for a takedown but Mousasi sprawls well.
Gegard Mousasi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kake Buck.
Buck takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Buck shoots in and drives through. Mousasi sprawls well.
Buck looks gassed!

Mousasi shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Buck's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mousasi wants to get up but he can't break Buck's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Buck is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Mousasi wants to stand but Buck has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Buck is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Buck is working an open guard so Mousasi takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Mousasi throws a combination. Buck tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Buck walks into a straight right hand from Mousasi.

Mousasi lands a jab to Buck's midsection.
Nice shot lands for Mousasi.
Buck is still on wobbly legs! Can Mousasi finish him?
Mousasi grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Buck takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Mousasi cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
