These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dias looks to throw the jab but Brown is out of range.

Brown is looking to take a break and control but Dias is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Dias is pushing Brown's head away, looking to escape. Brown manages to hold on to the position though.

Dias pushes Brown away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Brown gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Brown looks to score with a jab to the body but Dias is just out of range.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Brown, as that shot connected.

Brown shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dias but Dias pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Brown throws a looping overhand right but Dias ducks down to avoid it.

Brown cracks the inside of Dias's front leg.
Brown takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

and Dias counters with a head kick that drops Brown to the mat! Brown scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Brown tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Dias manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Brown lands with an overhand left.

Brown ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

and Dias counters with a nice right hand that sends Brown toppling to the canvas! Brown scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Dias finish him?!

Dias throws a quick head kick that knocks Brown silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! Dias is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.

A relieved looking Adolfo Dias thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
