The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Catone tries to clinch up but Delanoy circles away and keeps his distance.
Delanoy uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Catone.

Delanoy throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Catone moves into the clinch.

Delanoy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Catone misses with a takedown

and Delanoy counters with a shoot takedown. Catone fights it but they end up in guard.
Delanoy throws a strike but Catone rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Delanoy is striking but Catone is not phased and passes to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Delanoy is looking for a sweep. Catone is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Catone looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Delanoy with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Catone is taking a breather. Delanoy says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Delanoy is looking for a sweep. Catone is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Catone looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
It looks like Catone might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Delanoy is trying to maintain the position but Catone is very close to passing his half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Catone manages to capitalize on a mistake by Delanoy to take his back!

Catone is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Delanoy has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Catone has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Delanoy taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Catone doesn't care though - he's delighted!
