PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jed Masilungan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aze Toro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Masilungan comes to the cage accompanied by Return to Strength. Toro is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Hate me or Get DIE tryn' - 50cent. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Toro misses with a few strikes there.

Aze Toro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Toro misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Masilungan.

Masilungan cracks Toro with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Masilungan bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Toro's guard.

Toro has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Masilungan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Masilungan is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Toro still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Toro has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Toro is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Masilungan throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Toro lands a nice shot to the body.

Nice takedown defense from Toro. No joy for Masilungan on that attempt.

Toro swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Masilungan.

A slapping body kick lands there for Masilungan.
Aze Toro seems to be getting the better of the standup.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Toro throws an overhand right that lands on Masilungan's shoulder, as Masilungan tries to avoid the shot.
Masilungan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Toro manages to avoid it.
Toro throws a body punch but Masilungan moves out of range.
Toro misses with a hook. Masilungan ducked under it nicely.
Masilungan takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Toro closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Oh Masilungan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Toro tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Toro throws a hook to the side of Masilungan's head but Masilungan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Nice defenses there by Masilungan.
The fighters circle momentarily. Masilungan darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Toro drops Masilungan with a straight right hand, right on the button! Toro follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
