Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Snijder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shark Attack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brandon Snijder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Shark Attack!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Matheus Silva and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Attack misses with a body shot

and Snijder counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Snijder is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Attack is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Attack has escaped and now he's on top!

Snijder is trying to keep Attack in close.
Attack with a flurry of punches that miss.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Attack working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Attack is in close to Snijder's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Attack working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Snijder's head.
Attack throws a big elbow that misses.

Attack postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Snijder is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Attack, into his guard.

Snijder prevents Attack from getting back to his feet.
Attack wants to get back to his feet but Snijder passes into half guard.

Snijder is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Snijder is working for a submission of some sort.

Snijder is looking for submissions but instead, Attack has regained full guard.
Attack wants to stand up but Snijder is controlling him.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Snijder wants to pass the guard but Attack is keeping the position.
Attack really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Snijder. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Snijder is working hard here to advance position.
Snijder won't allow Attack to get back to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Attack pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Snijder tries to counter with a takedown but Attack is quick to defend against it.
Snijder takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Attack scores with a kick to the midsection.
Attack swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Snijder drops down looking for a counter takedown but Attack sprawls and moves away.
A clash of legs there as Snijder blocks the low kick.
Attack misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Snijder.
Attack has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Snijder blocks a jab.
Snijder attempts a counter takedown but Attack avoids it well and moves away.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Snijder walks into a left hand.
No luck for Snijder with that takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shark Attack dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Attack is looking to chop away at Snijder's legs.
Attack feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Snijder's calf.
Attack lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Snijder misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
An inside leg kick from Attack misses.
Brandon Snijder is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Attack thuds his shin into the meat of Snijder's side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Attack works the jab nicely.

and Snijder decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Attack's guard.
Attack wants to stand up but Snijder is controlling him.

Attack wants to stand and escape but Snijder is having none of it.
Snijder wants to pass the guard but Attack is keeping the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Snijder has gone for a leg lock! Attack slips out almost immediately though and dives into Snijder's guard.

Snijder preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Snijder is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Attack is aware though and is defending well.
Attack throws a big elbow that misses.
Attack with a flurry of punches that miss.
Attack lands a couple of elbows.
Attack with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Attack scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Attack drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Snijder manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Attack has Snijder in his guard.

Attack has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Snijder prevents Attack from getting back to his feet.

Brandon Snijder overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Shark Attack showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Attack dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Snijder. That did some damage!
A jab from Attack misses.
Attack fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Snijder manages to avoid it.
Snijder attempts a counter takedown but Attack avoids it well and moves away.
Snijder is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Shark Attack seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Snijder shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Attack pinned against the ropes. Attack gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Good shot there by Attack.


It looks like Brandon Snijder has been cut.
A decent looking cross lands there for Attack.


Snijder is rocked!
Attack with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Oh Snijder is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Attack misses with a looping right.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Attack throws a head kick but Snijder moves out of range.
Snijder is looking to counter the offense by Attack and move into the clinch.
Snijder will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Snijder looks up at the clock. Bad move! Attack lands a right hand from hell, dropping Snijder. Attack pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shark Attack!
After winning the bout, Shark Attack thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
