Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Franklyn Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Ken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ken Ken acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Franklyn Stone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ken Ken!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Eddie Farnsworth and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ken but Ken pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Ken has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Ken throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Stone tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ken is in Stone's guard.
Stone can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ken controls the pace.

Stone is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ken is aware though and is defending well.
Stone tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Ken working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Stone looking for a sweep. Not yet Stone, not yet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ken throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Stone lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Stone would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Ken managing to control the position.
Stone wants to stand but Ken has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Stone throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Ken is trying to control the position but Stone postures up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Stone rushes Ken and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Stone is trying to push Ken away but Ken has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Stone is trying to drag Ken to the mat but Ken just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Ken avoids a wild elbow strike from Stone.
Ken lands a body shot.
Stone throws a head punch that misses.
Stone jumps guard but Ken stands there with Stone around his waist. Stone gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Franklyn Stone. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ken gets control of Stone's arms and successfully pulls guard. Ken will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Stone throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ken works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Ken trying to keep a closed guard but Stone is proving a slippery customer.
Ken is trying to hold Stone in close to prevent damage but Stone has managed to pass into half guard.
Stone is nestled in close to Ken, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Ken wants to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ken is looking to control Stone's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ken avoid being mounted?

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Stone trying to control the action but Ken is working from the bottom.
Ken tries to get to full guard but Stone has control of the leg.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Ken shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Stone manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Stone wriggles free and stands up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Franklyn Stone will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Ken feints and as Stone raises his hands in defense, Ken changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Stone tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Ken trying to control but Stone is working from the bottom.
Stone wants to get back to his feet but Ken is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ken trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stone throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Stone wriggles free and stands up.
Franklyn Stone is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Stone misses with a hook.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Decent striking displayed by Ken there.

Ken drives through with a takedown into Stone's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Ken stands and throws Stone's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Ken is looking to take a break and control but Stone is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Stone manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Stone is looking for a sweep. Ken is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Ken trying to pass the guard but Stone defending well.
Ken seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Ken stops Stone from getting back to his feet.
Ken is looking to take a break and control but Stone is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Stone scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Ken manages to mount him!
Stone is trying to escape the mount.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ken misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Stone tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Ken unloads with some shots from mount but Stone bucks and avoids them well.
Stone regains half guard.
Ken throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Ken prevents Stone from standing back up.
Stone wants to sweep but Ken has passed to side control!
Ken tries to advance to mount but can't.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Ken decides to stand back up. Ken steps back and let's Stone get back to his feet.

Stone pushes Ken up against the cage in a clinch.
A bit of stalling here from Ken.

Ken breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ken throws a head kick but Stone moves out of range.
Ken pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ken tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Stone paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Ken shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Ken was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Ken has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Ken is breathing heavily.
Stone is trying to buck Ken off.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ken Ken showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Ken lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Ken shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Stone is trying to defend but Ken finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Ken is taking a breather. Stone says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Stone is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ken's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ken's back!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stone is not going to allow Ken to sit and survive in this position.
Ken is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Stone working for a choke but Ken is defending well.
Ken trying to control the position but Stone manages to sink in the hooks.

Ken defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Stone's arms.

Stone looking for the choke but no joy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Stone punches Ken on the ear.
Ken is trying to stand back up.
Stone is hanging on to Ken's back as he tries to escape.
Ken is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Ken trying to control the hands but Stone breaks the grip.

Stone tries to keep control of the position but Ken is staying busy.
Ken is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Ken rolls, trying to escape but Stone keeps control of the position.
The referee is taking a good look at Ken as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Stone!
Ken is trying to break free.
Stone has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Ken's body.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Stone is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Ken defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Ken can't escape the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Ken trying to get back to his feet but Stone is in full control for now.

And that's the end of the fight!
Franklyn Stone showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Stone has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
