Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Skubi closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Elves quickly recovers to half guard.
Elves moves into full guard.
Skubi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Elves on the ground.
Skubi looking to sit in guard and control but Elves gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Elves is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Elves drops back looking for a leg! Skubi is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Skubi manages to kick Elves off! Elves jumps back into Skubi's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Skubi wants to get back to his feet but Elves is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Elves thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Skubi wants to get back to his feet but Elves is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Skubi looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Ryan Elves decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
