Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kirill Petrov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michel Rodalgo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Petrov comes to the cage accompanied by Iron Man. The crowd seem to be enjoying Rodalgo's choice of entrance music: Ace of Spades - By Motorhead. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

With a record of 30 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Michel Rodalgo!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodalgo throws a big shot that misses.

Rodalgo has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Petrov is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Petrov doesn't manage to clinch there - Rodalgo circles away.

And Rodalgo responds with a good body kick, but Petrov manages to step out the way in time.

Rodalgo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Petrov as he jumps to the side.

We've been told by Petrov's head coaches at Reign in Blood that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

The fighters circle momentarily. Rodalgo darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Rodalgo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Petrov pinned against the cage. Petrov gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Rodalgo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Petrov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Petrov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

A close round but Michel Rodalgo will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Rodalgo gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Rodalgo isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Petrov stacks Rodalgo on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Petrov!

Petrov in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Rodalgo tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Petrov!
