Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brain Smasher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brain Smasher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smasher clinches.
Johnson stalling the fight.

Johnson gets control of Smasher's arms and successfully pulls guard. Johnson will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Smasher trying to control the position from guard on top but Johnson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Johnson is looking for a triangle but Smasher pushes his legs off easily.
Smasher postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Smasher content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Smasher is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Smasher looking to sit in guard and control but Johnson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Smasher will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Smasher trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Smasher scores with a couple of body punches from the bottom.

Johnson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Smasher looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Smasher looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Smasher!
Smasher connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Johnson some visible discomfort.

Johnson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Smasher wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Smasher creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Check out the look on Smasher's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Johnson prevents Smasher from moving into mount.
Johnson is trying to get back to his feet.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Smasher landing strikes.
Johnson is pushing Smasher's head away, looking to escape. Smasher manages to hold on to the position though.
Johnson looks gassed!
Smasher looks up at the clock and then as Johnson takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Smasher smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Smasher is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Johnson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Johnson takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Johnson takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Johnson takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Johnson seems a little lost for a moment, as Smasher dominates the positioning.
Johnson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Smasher wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Smasher decides to stand up, so the ref orders Johnson to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Smasher scores with a decent looking hook.
Johnson gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Smasher.
Smasher slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Johnson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Smasher misses with a low kick as Johnson jumps back.
Smasher dips to his left and cracks Johnson with an uppercut!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Smasher works over Johnson's head and body with a nice combination.
Smasher cracks Johnson with a good jab.


Johnson is rocked!
Johnson wants to clinch

and Smasher counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Johnson!
Johnson is still in real trouble! Can Smasher finish him?
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Smasher landing punches.
Smasher has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Johnson is in all sorts of trouble here.

Smasher working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Smasher decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Johnson seems to have recovered his senses.
Smasher scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Smasher is just content to waste time from the top position. Johnson takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Smasher postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Smasher seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Smasher accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Smasher keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Johnson's head.

Smasher is looking to work some ground and pound but Johnson has wrist control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnson is breathing heavily.
Johnson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Smasher scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Smasher wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving.
Smasher prevents Johnson from getting back to his feet.
Smasher scoring with punches to the head and body.

Smasher stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Johnson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Johnson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Smasher scores with a couple of nice shots.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Smasher pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Johnson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Johnson tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Smasher counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Smasher.
Johnson unloads a knee to the mid-section. Smasher lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Smasher keeps control of Johnson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Smasher has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Johnson clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Smasher has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.

Smasher patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
I really don't envy Johnson right now.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Smasher struggling to land strikes to the head as Johnson covers up.

Smasher lands strikes to the head.
Smasher somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
Johnson takes a big shot to the side of the head.
Johnson is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Smasher scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Johnson can't escape the position.
Oooh a big shot gets through from Smasher. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Johnson is keeping busy.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Smasher is punishing Johnson with strikes - can he finish him?!
Johnson is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Smasher.
Smasher gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.
Smasher controlling well, preventing Johnson from escaping the position.
Can Johnson hold on?! Smasher is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.

Smasher is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Johnson won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Smasher off his unconscious opponent!
