Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Josh Bolda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Monster Kody (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bolda's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Fett's Vette. Kody comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Hip Hop kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Josh Bolda could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Monster Kody's chin.

The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Steven Brown and Colin Fotheringham.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bolda shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kody sprawls well. Kody wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bolda gets slowly back to his feet.
Kody uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bolda.
Kody connects with an inside leg kick.
Kody scores with a jab to the jaw.
Bolda misses with a right hand

and Kody moves into the clinch.
Bolda lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Bolda has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kody is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bolda swings wildly with an uppercut but Kody uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kody tries to work over Bolda's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Bolda has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kody uses from the top position.

Bolda is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kody defends well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bolda pulls Kody in close to prevent any damage.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Kody working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Kody thows an elbow strike that misses. Bolda gets hold of full guard and has managed to get a loose guillotine attempt. Kody doesn't seem too bothered but Bolda quickly shifts his position and has tightened the hold! Kody is in big trouble now - he's going a funny colour - he's tapping out! Nice finish there! Kody really should have spotted the danger earlier though... either incompetence or over-confidence has resulted in a big L on his record.
