Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Steve Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benjamin Breeg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lopez comes to the cage accompanied by Fight for this love. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Steve Lopez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Benjamin Breeg!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Sam Margolis and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Breeg fails with the takedown.
Lopez looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Breeg is looking to clinch but Lopez is avoiding it.
Lopez misses with a two punch combination.
Lopez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Breeg paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Breeg looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Breeg takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Lopez is bucking up trying to escape but Breeg cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Breeg looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Breeg has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Breeg postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Lopez looks a forlorn figure.

Breeg takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
I looks like Breeg might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Breeg is landing with some decent strikes but Lopez is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Breeg jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Lopez manages to avoid the submission attempt.

A lull in the action here as Breeg stalls from top position.

Breeg tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Breeg has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Breeg throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lopez stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Breeg decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Lopez's guard.

Benjamin Breeg has got the better of the ground game so far.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Breeg looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Lopez tries to roll over but Breeg keeps him under control.

Breeg seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Lopez is pressed up against the cage. Breeg has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lopez down to the mat. Lopez avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Steve Lopez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Breeg shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Lopez moves into full guard.
Lopez is trying to keep Breeg in close.

Lopez is looking to sweep but instead, Breeg has passed into half guard.

Breeg is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Breeg throwing shots but Lopez is blocking nicely.

Lopez kicks Breeg off and gets back to his feet.

Lopez closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lopez lands in his opponent's guard.

Lopez postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Breeg is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Lopez, into his guard.
Breeg advances to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Benjamin Breeg showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Lopez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Breeg manages to avoid it.
Breeg has his takedown stuffed

and Lopez holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Breeg looking to slow down the pace here.

Lopez is working for takedown but Breeg is calmly controlling the position for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Breeg frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Lopez is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Lopez tries to reverse the position but Breeg maintains control.

Breeg looking for a guillotine from mount but Lopez is having none of it.
Lopez is looking to get to half guard.
BOOM! Breeg connects with a massive shot to the dome!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Breeg can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Lopez is looking to escape.
Breeg is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Lopez is looking to get to half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lopez is bucking up trying to escape but Breeg cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Benjamin Breeg comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Breeg winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
