The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zivic bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Puckerman's head.

It looks like Noah Puckerman has been cut.
Puckerman avoids the body shot from Zivic.
Puckerman slips a straight right by Zivic.
Puckerman pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Zivic uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Puckerman.
Zivic misses with a shot to the body
and Puckerman counters with a stiff right hand.

Zivic fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Puckerman defending well as Zivic loads up on a big left hand.

Zivic connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Puckerman.
Puckerman displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Zivic throws out the jab.
Zivic misses with a double jab.
Zivic bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
No joy there for Puckerman, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Zivic throws a shot from downtown. Puckerman moves away and avoids it.
Zivic lands a nice looking body shot.
A big left from Puckerman misses.
A shot to the liver by Zivic. Beautiful body shot.
Zivic is looking to clinch.
Zivic jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Zivic loads up on a big right hand but Puckerman slips the punch.
Zivic misses with a low kick.
Zivic tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Puckerman manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fritzie Zivic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zivic paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Oh Puckerman is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Puckerman takes a swing at Zivic's ribcage but misses.
Zivic throws a jab when Puckerman was well out of range.

Zivic cracks Puckerman with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Zivic has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Puckerman to stand back up!
Zivic drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Puckerman's head, knocking him out cold! Zivic is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
