The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Umaga stuffs the takedown.
Umaga pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Rico back to the cage. Umaga follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
It looks like Juan Rico has been cut.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rico.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rico is defended easily by Umaga.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Juan Rico. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Umaga throws a head kick that half lands.
Rico shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Umaga pinned against the cage. Umaga gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rico misses with a takedown
and Umaga counters with a crisp one two that drops Rico! Umaga thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Rico to his feet! Rico is in big trouble!
