The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kennedy is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jordan's half guard.

Jordan is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kennedy pulls his head out easily.
Kennedy is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Jordan manages to get to full guard.
Kennedy is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jordan has his foot on Kennedy's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kennedy works his way back into a safe position though.

Kennedy trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Jordan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kennedy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Jordan pulls Kennedy in close to prevent any damage.
Kennedy is looking to stand up but Jordan won't let him.

Kennedy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jordan keeps working.
Kennedy is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Jordan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kennedy can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
