PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Travis Davies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Davies shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Brown napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Brown got a little sloppy there for a moment and Davies has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Brown has managed to get both his arms back between Davies's legs - danger averted.

That was a close round but I would say that Travis Davies will probably get the nod.

Brown is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Davies is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Davies has escaped and now he's on top!

Davies throws an elbow that misses. Brown uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Davies's guard. Nice move by Brown!

Brown stands up and waves to Davies to follow him.

Davies tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Brown manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Brown dives in for a single leg takedown but Davies sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Travis Davies has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bobby Brown.

The crowd cheers as Davies lands an impressive looking overhand right. Brown doesn't seem phased though.

Davies throws a pinpoint strike between Brown's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Brown crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Davies scores a great knockout victory!
