The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Michael Johnstone and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gumble doesn't manage to clinch there - Heyerdahl circles away.
Gumble misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gumble tries to clinch up but Heyerdahl circles away and keeps his distance.
Heyerdahl bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Barney Gumble seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gumble's coach down at Fitness elite 24/7 was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Gumble's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gumble tries to close the distance and clinch but Heyerdahl swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The fighters circling - Gumble throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Nice straight punches there by Heyerdahl. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Heyerdahl.
Gumble moves into the clinch.
Heyerdahl jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gumble walks away with a smile on his face. Heyerdahl gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
A jab from Gumble finds it's way through Heyerdahl's defenses.
Heyerdahl has been working on his balance at Foot Loves, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Gumble.
Gumble closes the distance but Heyerdahl moves to the side
and Heyerdahl makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Gumble fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Gumble throws a shot from downtown. Heyerdahl moves away and avoids it.

Gumble throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Heyerdahl on the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gumble sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
