The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A good leg kick by Effyew Ceekay.
Savea tries to close the distance and clinch but Effyew Ceekay swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Savea clinches up against the cage.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Savea has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Savea blocks a body shot from Effyew Ceekay.
Effyew Ceekay throws a punch but it's blocked by Savea.
Savea using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Effyew Ceekay has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Savea works on Effyew Ceekay's body with a couple of short punches.
Savea wants to take the fight to the mat but Effyew Ceekay manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
The referee calls for Savea to work.

Savea tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Effyew Ceekay just stands there and leans against the cage.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Savea closes the distance and clinches up with Effyew Ceekay, looking for a takedown. Savea pushes Effyew Ceekay against the cage but Effyew Ceekay circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Savea ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Effyew Ceekay moves away.
Savea tries to clinch but Effyew Ceekay is having none of it.
Savea shoots in but Effyew Ceekay avoids the takedown attempt easily.
No luck for Savea with that takedown attempt.
Savea wants to stay close but Effyew Ceekay steps back to make room for something. Savea seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Effyew Ceekay and Savea drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!
