The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velasquez lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Velasquez lands a two punch combo.
Velasquez tried to score with a low kick but Putranho checks it.

Putranho shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Velasquez's guard.
Putranho trying to control but Velasquez is working from the bottom.
Putranho controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Velasquez looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Putranho puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Velasquez is staying active underneath Putranho, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Putranho works his way into full mount!

Putranho quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Putranho but it's paid off an Velasquez is forced to tap! Nice work by Putranho.
