The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fighter dives in for a single leg takedown but Goodlon sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Fighter listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.

It looks like Robbie Goodlon has been cut.

Fighter feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Goodlon is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Fighter drops back, looking for a kneebar! Goodlon looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Goodlon looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Goodlon!

Fighter tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Fighter manages to work his way to half guard, despite Goodlon's best efforts.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fighter tries to get to full guard but Goodlon has control of the leg.
Goodlon misses with a head shot. Fighter uses the momentum to regain guard.

Fighter has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Goodlon doesn't defend quickly enough and Fighter has managed to lock this one up! Can Goodlon escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Fighter on a fantastic submission victory.

A relieved looking Project Fighter thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
