The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Alexander throws a strike aimed at the side of Disms's head but Disms avoids it well.

Alexander misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Disms can do anything to dispel that myth.
Alexander breaks from Disms's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Alexander will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Disms takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Alexander moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Disms has worked his arm free - good work by Disms!
Alexander connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Disms some visible discomfort.

Alexander thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Alexander just content to control the position.
Disms really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Alexander. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Alexander's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
