PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Denis Turk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gavin Duff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duff has chosen Ride of the valkyries as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turk shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Duff but Duff pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Duff tries a head kick but it misses.

Turk shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Duff is trying to defend but Turk finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Turk shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Duff pinned against the cage. Duff gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Duff swings for the body but Turk moves out of range.

Turk slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Duff controls Turk momentarily but Turk frees himself.

Duff might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Turk haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Duff had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Turk defends it easily.

Turk drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Duff dives on top into guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Turk is on top in guard.

Duff has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Turk can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Duff.
Duff tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Turk paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Duff. Turk does a little dance to reset his feet.
Duff throws a low kick, looking for Turk's leg but Turk calmly moves out of range.
Turk throws a front kick that sends Duff stumbling back into the cage.
Turk tries to score a power double leg takedown but Duff sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Turk somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Denis Turk. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Duff tries a body shot but Turk blocks it.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Turk, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
