Quincy comes to the cage accompanied by the harley song. Joseph Acton has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ryker Quincy's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ryker Quincy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Joseph Acton!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Konstantin Menshow and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Quincy looking to score a takedown here. Acton is defending well but Quincy drives through and ends up in Acton's guard.
Quincy looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Quincy passes Acton's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Quincy takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Ground and pound from Quincy.
Quincy slips a nice elbow through Acton's hands, connecting with Acton's forehead.
Still in half guard, Quincy seems content to control.
Acton looks like he's trying to stand up.
Quincy has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Quincy working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Acton's thigh. Acton counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Acton wants to stand but Quincy is controlling the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Quincy's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Quincy might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Quincy drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Quincy jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Quincy lands a couple of decent looking shots.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Quincy's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Quincy prevents Acton from getting back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Joseph Acton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Quincy shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Quincy was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Acton is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Quincy is putting a hurting on Acton here, landing some big shots from side control.

A lull in the action here.

Acton gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Quincy lands a heavy elbow.
Acton looks winded!

Quincy is landing with some decent strikes but Acton is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Quincy working for a guillotine from mount but Acton is in no mood to give up.
Quincy takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

You get the feeling that Acton really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Quincy looking to control and managing it successfully.

Acton has left one of his arms exposed and Quincy doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Acton screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ryker Quincy!
