Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pencil Neck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antre Laufer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Neck comes into the arena with Welcome to the jungle blaring out of the sound system. Pencil Neck has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Laufer as Neck shoots in.

Neck shoots in and gets a takedown into Laufer's guard.
Laufer wants to stand but Neck is controlling the position.
Neck throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Laufer works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Laufer can do anything to dispel that myth.
Laufer is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Neck is controlling him.

Neck wants to control from the top but Laufer keeps moving.

Laufer wants to stand up but Neck is controlling him.
Neck is working Laufer over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Neck thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Laufer has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Neck off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Laufer fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Neck, pushing him back against the cage.
Laufer lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Neck or not.
Laufer tries to stall but Neck uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Neck ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Neck no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Neck is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Laufer is controlling him.
Neck is trying to keep Laufer in close.
Laufer wants to stand but Neck is controlling his posture from full guard.
Laufer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Neck. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neck has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Neck is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Laufer looks like he's trying to stand up.

Neck has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Laufer defend it? Neck steps over the head and cranks it - Laufer is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Neck!
