The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGuiness takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
McGuiness lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Good standup being displayed there by McGuiness as he connects with a hook.
McGuiness connects with the punch.
McGuiness has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Gorilla Warfare MMA in the buildup to the fight.
McGuiness misses with a straight left.
Shraf feints the counter takedown.
McGuiness connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Shraf uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from McGuiness.
McGuiness throws a shot from downtown. Shraf moves away and avoids it.
Shraf drops down looking to force a counter takedown but McGuiness defends it well.
McGuiness pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Shraf takes the fight into the clinch.
Shraf tries to pull guard but McGuiness forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Shraf is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but McGuiness is defending well.
McGuiness wants to stall.
Shraf changes levels and goes for a takedown here. McGuiness fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Liam McGuiness has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jamezdin Shraf.

Shraf has McGuiness up against the cage in a clinch.

Shraf drags the fight down to the ground.
Shraf throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
McGuiness stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Shraf swivels though and keeps the full guard.
McGuiness wants to control from the top but Shraf keeps moving.

Shraf is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. McGuiness is aware though and is defending well.

Shraf trying to keep a closed guard but McGuiness is proving a slippery customer.
Shraf has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Shraf has his feet on McGuiness's thighs here. He's pushed McGuiness off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! McGuiness screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
