The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Galante shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Galante has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Galante there as he acknowledges the shot.

Galante clobbers Conway with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Galante looks to throw the jab but Conway is out of range.
Conway gets caught flat footed, as Galante shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Galante passes easily into side control. Nice work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Conway is looking for a sweep.
Galante is trying to get an arm triangle but Conway is defending well.

Conway can't do much from the bottom here.
Conway is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Galante is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Galante working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

You can see the frustration on Conway's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Galante has an Americana. Conway didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Galante is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Galante hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
