The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chao uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Knuckles dives in and grabs Chao's left leg, looking for a takedown. Chao pushes down on Knuckles's head and hops out.
Knuckles shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Chao pinned against the cage. Chao gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Knuckles clinches up with Chao and pushes him back against the cage.
Chao lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Knuckles backwards.
Knuckles misses with a short punch on the inside.
Knuckles wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Chao has him pressed against the cage.
Knuckles is trying to break the clinch but Chao has him pressed against the cage.
Chao lands a body punch.
Knuckles is breathing heavily.
A nice left hand lands by Chao.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Knuckles tries to pull guard but Chao holds him up against the cage and eventually Knuckles drops back down to his feet.
