Nunez tries to escape but Simmons is in control.
Simmons cracks Nunez with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Simmons tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Simmons has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Simmons is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Nunez has escaped the position, nice work there.
Nunez is pushing Simmons's head away, looking to escape. Simmons manages to hold on to the position though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nunez is trying to get back to half guard.
Simmons scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Nunez is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Simmons can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
